Although it certainly doesn’t feel that way right now, Fall is right around the corner. Pretty soon though it’ll be upon us, and you don’t want to be running around searching for your Fall clothes when the time comes! Better to be ready in advance, and I can help you do just that with one of my favorite trends this Autumn. This would be a wild disarray of prints- and by this I mean, print on print on print!
Now, in the past, this meant matching the prints, which is still the easiest way to do it. Wearing a matching printed pant with the blouse, or a sweater with a skirt. You can still do this, but if you want your look to be more runway-inspired, I suggest we look to the runway for inspiration!
What we’re seeing more of is all different prints piled atop one another. Now this might seem like a mess, but I assure you it’s not, and it won’t look that way if you stick to one simple rule: Stick with matching colors. Notice I didn’t say matching prints. Go wild with your prints of choice, but keep the underlying theme of a few colors to keep the look together.
The Miu Miu and Prada looks on the runway kept it together with matching pants and jacket, and then added a different print tie or blouse underneath. Do you guys like the whole print on print trend, or is this something that just doesn’t work for you?
